Federica is Full Professor of Material Science and Technology at Politecnico di Torino (from 2018) after having been Associate Professor at the University of Parma (since 2006) and Researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Her university activity has always been very much focused on technology transfer with contracts and collaborations with national and international companies that have resulted in participation in joint tenders financed both at regional, national, and European level mainly focused, actually, on materials for additive manufacturing technology.  She is co-founder of the University spinoff MAT3D. She is also Member of MAT3D Scientific Board.
